Albert Bandura + Media Effects

 Albert Bandura theory suggests that...
    • The idea that the media can implant ideas in the mind of the audience directly.
    • It requires the audiences emotional response and new style of conduct through modelling.
    • It is also the idea that media representations of transgressive behaviour such as violence or physical aggression can lead audience members to imitate those forms of behaviour.

Bobo doll experiment
Alberts Bobo doll theory was performed in 1961 to try and addcredence to his belief that all human behavior was learned, through social imitation and copying rather than being inhertied through genetic factors. His findings still are being debated 40 years after the initial experiment. Bandura designed this theory to prove a child would copy an adult role models behavior.
