Radio 1 background

What are the different responsibilities of presenters and producers?
Producers:
Make sure that the shows running as planned and that they are tailoring to specific
audience demographics
Researching ideas for the programme
Sourcing potential interviewees
Managing equipment
Prepping phone callers and interviews before they air
Presenters:
Being able to present while operating studio controls and co-ordinating a range
of simultaneous technical activities
Able to work calmly effectively under pressure
What preparation that goes into each programme?
'hot food'
Making sure after a song and into a new link they are prepared so have new callers making sure that they are briefed and prep celebs like making sure they don't mention brands or swear.
Make sure they are not to loud or quite
What's most challenging and most enjoyable about working on the show?
Guests sometimes challenging so cut it of short
What are the team dynamics like?
Learning from Will the producer to develop new skills
Fast pace and changing environment
Only had 3 producers so dynamics are not changing too much positive to change as brings in new ideas making things revitalised
Good vibe in studio portrays on the radio to listeners
